Good Time in Vegas

To say that I’m tired would be an understatement — I’ve walked more than I care and stood longer than my legs and back were accustom to. My body didn’t want to sleep because of all the excitement (and muscle soreness) and it refused to sleep past 6am PST because it would have been 9am back home. But am I complaining? Not at all. I’m thrilled to have made the trip to Las Vegas to photograph the 2010 Mrs/Ms Earth International Pageant.

I’ve met an amazing group of ladies — many of whom are in the photograph above — and feel privileged to have been a part of their competition journey. I consider all of them my friends and if you’re reading this, I want to say a big THANK YOU! Thank you for making my job easy. Thank you for being great people, I really enjoyed our time together and hope to see you all again soon.

Lastly, I would like to thank the pageant organizers for the invitation. I had a blast and would do it again tomorrow (and when I say tomorrow, I mean months from now after I catch up on sleep and a few massages)!

I will have more follow up posts on my trip…so stay tune! ‘

P.S. A big plus to carrying two ~7lbs camera around for 5 10hrs days is that I think I’m now qualified to wear a “gun show” t-shirt! ;)

  1. I’m excited to be finally posting online after all these years. There really is no mystery about it, is there? I just dropped by your blog and had to write something. I’m a recent college grad, journalism major if you must know, and I absolutely love the art of photography. I’ve got my site up but it’s nothing to brag about yet. None of my stuff’s been posted. Soon as I figure out how to do that, I’ll spend the afternoon posting my best pictures. anyway just thought I’d drop a line. I hope to return with more substantial stuff, stuff you can actually use.
