Found lost images

I am in the process of updating my portfolio (I have big plans for the year) and came across a bunch of images of the beautiful Leslie McConn., Miss Fredericksburg USA. The primary goal of the session was to get her some competition images but everything about Leslie really inspired me to create images that are a bit more “commercial beauty”. Don’t you want to buy whatever she is selling?!

Boy, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted here. 2011 was a fantastic year for us and we think 2012 will be even better. To help kick off the new year, here are images from my very last session of 2011; The session was to help out a make-up artist friend who’s heavily involved with Era-specific looks.

Unity Bowling, Miss Peninsula’s Outstanding Teen

A huge congrats to our client Unity Bowling for her win as Miss Peninsula’s Outstanding Teen 2012. Winning is always special but this one is especially amazing because this was Unity’s first competition as a teen (just made the age cut) and won against older girls.

I saw this on YouTube and just have to share it. If you think you are good at photoshop, think again.

Retouching is so old school — the whole process of taking a picture and then making it better just seem overrated. :p

Unlimited potentials

I enjoy working with high school seniors because I love meeting and learning about their hopes and dreams. I am always very impressed with the unlimited potentials that my high school senior clients can demonstrate in the few hours we are together.

The picture below is of Nick McClelland, Class of 2012 at Cosby High School; he can do a backflip from complete standstill. I know I can fall flat on my face from a standstill, it will not be pretty if I attempt a backflip or flips of any kind.
